CANGO WILDLIFE RANCH
The Cango Wildlife Ranch is perfect for a family outing. Guided tours are given daily around the premises. Learn more about the facts and fiction surrounding crocodiles, view elegant cheetahs and giggle at the antics of the Bengal tiger cubs. For the adventurous they offer face to face encounters with wildlife in the Natural Encounters programe where you can touch a cheetah, enjoy the closeness of a tiger cub, wrap yourself in a python and even dive with Nile crocodiles.
The Cango Caves is only one of the natural wonders of the Klein Karoo. 30km from Oudtshoorn, situated in a limestone ridge parallel to the well known Swartberg Mountains, you will find this spectacular underground wonder with the finest dripstone caverns, with their vast halls and towering formations.
Visitors can choose between the standard tour (60min) or the adventure tour (90min). All tours are lead by experienced, knowledgeable and accredited Caves Guides. All tours are offered in English but Afrikaans, German, French and other language options may be available (please check language availability when making reservations).
OSTRICH SHOW FARMS
Oudtshoorn is also known as the ostrich capital of the world. Therefore one should not miss a visit to one of the many ostrich farms.
Here you have the possibility to take guided tours and learn a lot about the biggest birds in the world and you can even ride on it. Products from ostrich feathers and leather can be purchased everywhere.
SWARTBERG MOUNTAIN RANGE
This part is acknowledged as a World Herritage Site by the Cape Nature Conservation. The crest route will take you along the Swartberg Mountain Range for some 50km. At last 4x4ers can go to Hell! Not fire and brimstone, but Die Hel, also known as Gamkaskloof, deep in the Swartberg mountains.
You can also enjoy a scenic drive over the Pass. Have the best view over the Klein Karoo at "Die Top" while you descend to Prince Albert.

The Indian Ocean is only about 90 km away and a nice day trip. Visit Mossel Bay and go swimming with great white sharks - you are in a safe cage of course.
